The Tanzania Startup Association (TSA) is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to fill the position of Executive Director. Position Overview:

As the Executive Director of TSA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the startup ecosystem in Tanzania. You will lead the association in executing its mission, working closely with the Board of Directors, government agencies, investors, and educational institutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide strategic direction and vision to advance the mission and objectives of TSA.

• Advocacy: Engage with government agencies and policy makers to promote policies that facilitate entrepreneurship and innovation.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, educational institutions, and partners to create a conducive environment for startup growth.

• Resource Mobilization: Lead efforts to secure funding and resources for TSA's programs and initiatives.

• Startup Support: Oversee the development and delivery of mentorship, training programs, and networking events to support the growth of startups and entrepreneurs.

• Awareness Building: Promote the importance of startups in driving economic growth and addressing societal challenges.

• Operational Management: Efficiently manage TSA's operations, budget, and staff to ensure organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is a plus.

• Proven experience in leadership, advocacy, or management roles, preferably within a non-profit or business association.

• Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.

• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong project management skills.

• Knowledge of Tanzania's regulatory and business environment is an advantage.
