Job Summary:

As a Project Manager at NBC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are successfully delivered within time, budget, and scope. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from planning and execution to monitoring, control, and closure.

Job Description:

Accountability: Strategy & Planning (30%)

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Draft the project charter and facilitate the development and approval of business cases and requirements definition documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Continuously engage with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain project timelines and milestones using suitable tools.
• Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
• Determine the frequency and content of project status reports, analyze results, and address any issues.
• Define project success criteria and communicate them throughout the project life cycle.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and generate recommendations reports, highlighting successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop best practices and tools for effective project execution and management.
• Comply with the organization's project management methodology and related governance and documentation requirements.

Accountability: Acquisition and Deployment (30%)

• Estimate the resources and participants required to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and submit budget proposals and recommend budget adjustments as necessary.
• If needed, negotiate with department managers for the allocation of necessary personnel from within the organization.
• Assess the need for additional staff or consultants and recruit as required during the project cycle.

Accountability: Operations Management (40%)

• Direct and oversee project development from start to finish.
• Create comprehensive project plans and related communication documents.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts affecting the project.
• Manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Mitigate project risks and issues by ensuring proper escalation and ownership.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Education and Experience Required:

• University Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), or Management Information Systems.
• Prince 2 or PMP Certification.
• An understanding of the ITIL framework would be an added advantage.
• 5 years of experience in transformation delivery, change leadership, and Program Management.
• 2 years of experience in the financial industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce and Management Studies
