Since its establishment in 2000, GGML has proudly produced over 40 million ounces of gold. The Tanzanian government holds a 16% free-carried interest in the mine, and it is owned entirely by AngloGold Ashanti. The operation encompasses an open-pit mine with multiple pits and features a state-of-the-art processing plant that utilizes a combination of gravity concentration and cyanide leaching for gold extraction.
